IPES Management Profile

Shaheer Naranath

Aged 45, Indian National residing in the UAE since 1997 with family. Shaheer is a Dynamic Engineering Professional with 23 years of global industrial & management experience and is a well-recognised and respected personality within the industry with numerous public appearances as a sought-after expert in industry related technical seminars, conferences and forums.

Mr. Shaheer Naranath is an effective team leader, who always motivates / inspires his colleagues to reach new heights and take up responsibilities. In the course of his prolific career mainly centered in the MENA & India regions, Shaheer has worked in diverse industries including Electrochemical, Paint manufacturing, Inspection & Auditing, Civil Construction & Infrastructure, Power & Telecom, Petro-chemical, Oil & Gas and managed various complex portfolios.

In his most recent stint at Megarme from 2002, Shaheer was given the entire operational responsibilities since 2006. During his tenure as Head of Operations, Shaheer spearheaded the phenomenal growth of the company from 65 employees to 600+ employees, increasing revenue turnover more than 9 folds. Under his able leadership, the company expanded its presence/operations in Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, India, Kuwait, Azerbaijan and Egypt. Shaheer was directly involved in all the major milestone projects which were pivotal in establishing the company as an Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) services provider.

Mr. Shaheer Naranath is one of the founders and current Chairman of the “International HSE Council” a non-profit organisation which promotes HSE in various industries across the globe. Mr. Naranath has also mentored various entrepreneurial ventures and his insights into best practice methodologies in the rope access trade are well received by his peers and clientele.

Suresh Nair

Aged 53, Businessman, settled in Mumbai, India for last 32 years. Suresh combines strong business qualifications with a remarkable record of more than 26 years of hands-on experience in business development, liaising between client and principals, financial analysis, marketing, strategic planning, contract negotiation in the Oil & Gas Sector, Power Plants, Fertilizer plants, Petrochemical Industries etc.

Mr. Nair has vast knowledge of International Trading and Project Management by representing various principals from Japan and South Korea in the field of Heavy Engineering, Ship Building and Equipment manufacturing. Mr. Nair took an active role in securing contracts worth more than USD 3 (Three) Billion for his overseas principals.

Francis Thomas

Aged 57, is an Indian National residing in the UAE since 1995. Mr. Thomas is an Engineering professional, ASNT Level 3, API Authorized Inspector, Welding Inspector, Coating Inspector with 35 years of industrial experience in Management, Inspection, Protective and Marine Coating / Painting / Welding related activities with Oil & Gas industries, of which the last 20 years were based in the Middle East.

Mr. Thomas’s technical qualification credentials include: Mechanical Engineer (Equivalent) from Indian Navy, Master in Business Administration – MBA, Radiography Testing (RT) ASNT (American Society for Non Destructive Testing) Level 3, Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) ASNT Level 3, Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) ASNT Level 3, Ultrasonic Testing Company (UT) ASNT Level 3, Eddy Current Testing (ET) ASNT Level 3, Authorized Inspector – American Petroleum Institute API 653, CSWIP Welding Inspector, Radiation Protection Supervisor – PCN, NACE Coating Inspection Personnel, Radiation Safety Officer (Industrial Radiography by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay), etc.

Mr. Thomas is Director and founder member of International HSE Council, a non-profit organisation which promotes HSE in various industries across the globe.

Varghese P Behanan

Aged 47, an experienced Business Manager in the field of marketing, who has demonstrated the ability to work in the fast paced and highly competitive industry of promoting foreign principles in the vast Indian market, in order to achieve new levels of success in improving business performance and competitive positioning.

Strong business qualifications with a track record of more than 16 years of hands-on experience in business unit development, financial analysis, marketing, strategic planning, contract negotiation, and project management.
